There are just seven days left for schools to submit their entries to our inaugural awards event.
The Green School Awards showcase best practice across three primary categories - energy conservation, nature conservation and recycling - and all entries must be received by midnight on Sunday, May 15.
Aimed at making children more knowledgeable about the environment and promoting eco-friendly behaviour, the awards strive to locate schemes targeted at protecting and preserving our natural world.
Our expert judging panel will name the winning submissions and recipients of an award will be invited to a celebratory event at Rowhill Grange Hotel & Utopia Spa in June.
Schemes should link to schools to some degree; perhaps with the original idea being generated by a school but then carried out in pupils’ homes, or in a wider community effort.
Simon Dolby, chief executive of the KM Charity Team which organises the awards, said: “Following our deadline extension, there is now just a single week remaining for schools across the county to take part in our exciting new awards scheme. We think the Green School Awards are the perfect way for learning institutions to present environmental awareness."
The KM Green School Awards are supported by Golding Vision (Part of Golding Homes), Loop CR, Specsavers and Mini Babybel.
