THINGS will be hotting up in Gravesham this weekend as firefighters from Thames-side hold a charity car wash.
Dirty wheel arches, mucky windscreens and mud splattered bonnets will be no match for red watch crew, who will be armed with bucket and sponges from 10am on Saturday.
Drivers across Gravesham can have their cars shampooed and polished at the station in Coldharbour Road, Northfleet, while brushing up on their home fire safety knowledge.
There is also the chance to make a charity donation upon exit, with all funds going to The Fire Fighters Charity - the official organisation which exists for injured fire fighters and their families during their times of need.
Red watch crew manager David Aylwin said: “By stopping at the fire station to have your car washed this Saturday, you will not only help raise greatly needed funds for the charity, but also be educating your family about fire safety.”
