Participants can run, walk or jog with flying colours by taking part in a charity colour run this June.
The KM Colour Run is staged at Betteshanger Park, near Deal on Sunday, June 12 and key partner Kent, Surrey and Sussex Air Ambulance are calling for residents across the county to ‘start white, end bright’.
Bridget Pepper of Kent, Surrey and Sussex Air Ambulance, said: “We are thrilled to be part of such a special event. Colour runs are a fantastic challenge which are family-friendly and good-spirited.”
She added: “Our charity provides vital, lifesaving support to thousands of people across the county. We work very hard to improve quality of life for those who have suffered serious trauma, and fundraising from events such as the KM Colour Run really helps to finance our work.”
Booking is now open for the 5K fun run which sees entrants plastered with harmless coloured powder paint as they journey throughout the route.
Runners are urged to raise money for their favourite charity, or to gain sponsorship for partnered causes including the Kent, Surrey and Sussex Air Ambulance.
70% of all funds raised will go to your chosen good cause. The remaining 30% will be injected in child’s road safety services and literacy initiatives for school children across Kent, Medway and Bexley.
All runners will receive a limited edition KM Colour Run white t-shirt and sunglasses, as well as medal upon completion.
Dominic Comins, events manager at the KM Charity Team which organises the challenge day, said: “The colour run is an inviting, fun-filled event which can be used to benefit causes that really aid the local community. We hope many taking on the rainbow route help support the lifesaving work the Kent, Surrey and Sussex Air Ambulance provide.”
