Football was the main focus at the Joshua Goodwin Asthma Foundation Fun Day.
Four different tournaments took place and 19 teams took part in the games at the event on Saturday at the Sheppey Sports Club in Queenborough Road, Halfway.
As well as the football, people also enjoyed a number of inflatable amusements including sumo wrestling costumes and a bouncy castle and there was live music, fund-raising stalls and entertainment from BRFM.
The day raised at least £2,500 for the foundation, which aims to raise awareness and help other children with asthma.
Joshua Goodwin died aged eight after suffering an asthma attack while playing football on August 8 last year.
His mum, Carla Goodwin, said: “It was a really good day, but we were unlucky with the rain in the afternoon.
“It’s definitely going to be done next year, but with a few changes.
“I would like to say a big thank you to Jay Smith, Tony Atkinson and Mark Rogers who organised the football, Steve and Sue Manning of the Sheppey Sports Club and to all our sponsors, those who donated prizes, and all those who came along.”
