A leading firm of chartered accountants and financial advisers is supporting a free event for charities and voluntary groups in Kent and Medway.

For the fourth consecutive year Kreston Reeves is headline partner of the KM Charity Team Forum, which typically attracts more than 100 good causes each year.

The half-day forum is at the Ashford International Hotel on Friday, October 4. It is free to attend but delegates are required to book online in advance.

Kreston Reeves’ charity manager, Sean Rodwell, will give a presentation on topical financial matters affecting the charity sector.

He will give insight into recent reports on the standard of charity reporting; getting reserves policy right; and the debate surrounding charity support costs and overheads.

Mr Rodwell will conclude with a round-up of what is set to impact the sector in the near future.

The forum’s organiser Karen Brinkman said: “As a not-for-profit specialist with a wealth of knowledge and experience, Sean is a very welcome addition to our forum.

Mr Rodwell said he was looking forward to speaking at the forum “on a number of topics that will provoke thought and challenge attendees and their charities.”

The talk is part of a Professionals Workshop that will also feature employment law guidance from Furley Page solicitors.

The forum outlines the support available from the KM Charity Team to causes countywide. Sessions include collaborative fundraising, grant funding, KM Charity of the Year 2020, and the Kent Volunteering Awards.
