Another mad-cap bra run will adding colour to the seafront on New Year’s Day at a charity event starting at Deal Castle.
Race organiser Sally Scoggins, from Deal Tri Club, is appealing for a big turnout to raise cash to Breast Cancer Care.
The event is a 5k race and about 300 runners and walkers of all ages usually take part. So far the run has raised more than £15,000 for Breast Cancer Care and the organisers are hoping to raise even more on New Year’s Day.
Mrs Scoggins added: “Deal Tri Club is thrilled to be part of this great event in aid of Breast Cancer Care.
“We decided to support this particular charity as we feel it is close to many people’s hearts. Each one of us knows someone who has struggled with this disease.
“In the past years the feedback has been fantastic and everyone enjoys dressing up in the decorated bras, both men and women!
“Children come in fancy dress and there are spot prizes donated by local businesses. It’s great to see the spectacle of runners and walkers alike all out on New Years Day supporting this cause.”
The run starts at noon and entry forms can be downloaded from awww.dealtri.co.uk or call 01304 371587. Race entries are open until the day.
