Funding advice available for groups

Does your community group or voluntary organisation need some funding?

If so, get down to The Phoenix Centre in Sandwich next week.

Community Action South-East Kent (CASE), Action for Communities in Rural Kent and the Kent Community Foundation will be holding a meet the funders event on Wednesday, September 17, from 6.30pm to 8.30pm.

People will be able to find out about major grant giving trusts, if a project is eligible for money, find out about alternative sources of funding and get help on making an application.

Phil Scott, chairman of The Phoenix Centre, said: “This is a wonderful opportunity, don’t miss it.”

Action with Communities in Rural Kent will consider applications for funding from groups in rural areas or organisations whose work has a significant benefit for rural communities through their work with the Colyer-Fergusson Trust.

Kent Community Foundation is a charity that manages charitable trusts including the new Grassroots Grants, an important new fund that aims to provide grants of up to £5,000 to small voluntary and community groups.

CASE Kent supports the voluntary and community sector by providing advice, training and support with setting up, running and funding organisations.
