The event, which is still open for booking, will see walkers young and old enjoy the annual summer stroll for fun or for their favourite cause on Sunday, June 24.

Souvenir medals will be given out at the finish line along with goody bags of healthy treats including juice provided by Biddenden Vineyards, fruit from Wellbeing People and Graze vouchers, as well as pens donated by Benenden Hospital Trust.

This is the first year Biddenden Vineyards have supported the walk and they have donated hundreds of bottles of its farm-pressed juice - made from Kentish fruit - to refresh thirsty walkers.

The drinks company is also hosting a ‘Taste the Best of Produced in Kent’ event this Sunday (June 10), showcasing food and drink producers from the county and raising money for the Kent, Surrey and Sussex Air Ambulance Trust.

The KM Charity Walk starts and ends at Grade II listed Georgian mansion Mote House in Maidstone’s Mote Park.

Popular with families, walking groups and charity supporters, the walk offers two routes - a five-mile or a 10-mile version - which are fairly flat with a few hills and suitable for most levels of fitness.

Children will be kept busy with a scavenger hunt run by Kent Wildlife Trust - complete with list of things to collect and look out for during the walk.

Youngsters under 16 go free and dogs are welcome making the event a great day out for all.

On completion of the walk participants can stay and enjoy a summer fayre in the grounds of Mote House with live music from Kent band Acoustic Tones. A barbecue and drinks will be available for purchase from the venue as well as stalls hosted by Homemade With Love Cakes, Priscilla the Pimms Pod, and Simply Ice Cream.

The KM Charity Walk is supported by Berry Gardens, Glosrose Engineering, Maidstone Ramblers, the Woodstove Trading Company and, Jarmans Solicitors.
