It’s the last chance for brainiacs in the Canterbury district to secure their places at a highlight of the quiz calendar.
The Canterbury Big Charity Quiz, staged by the KM Charity Team, is being held at the University of Kent’s Sports Centre on Friday, April 24. There are still a handful of tables left for anyone up for a fun challenge for charity.
As well as top raffle prizes, including classic toys and collectables from Hornby, quiz-goers will have the chance to win big money.
Booking fee is inclusive of a free drink, ploughman’s supper and entry into a P&O Ferries voucher prize draw plus a bottle of wine for the table.
And Blean Village Londis has pledged to give away free goody bags to everyone at the event.
One participant will be chosen at random to answer an on the spot quiz question with a £100 cash prize up for grabs.
Businesses backing the event, which is raising funds for the homelessness charity Catching Lives, include MHA MacIntyre Hudson, Barclays bank and Shepherd Neame.
The Kent and Canterbury Hospital’s League of Friends and children’s road safety services will also get a share of the proceeds.
Dominic Comins, event organiser, said: “There’s no shortage of amazing prizes to be won with our fantastic raffle and £100 in cold hard cash. But with a free drink, ploughman’s and goody bag for each person attending the quiz, everyone will be a winner.
