Temps from Office Angels in Ashford will be taking on a very important role this summer: keeping the KM Big Charity Quiz running smoothly.
They will be acting as runners at the competition on Friday, July 15, collecting those all-important answer sheets and making sure the whole event goes like clockwork – as they have done at Big Quiz heats staged in Medway and Canterbury this year.
Elle Weekes, permanent recruitment consultant at the Park Mall firm, said: “It’s always a really great event. Our temps really enjoy working it, and it’s a great environment to be in!
“Hopefully we will also have a team taking part. We are quite competitive!”
Teams of up to eight people can take part in the quiz, which will raise money for the Ashford Volunteer Centre - the Kentish Express newspaper’s charity of the year - as well as literacy and road safety services for schools. A share of the funds will also be given to one of the charities taking part in the quiz, chosen via a prize draw.
Each member of the winning team will take home DFDS Seaways vouchers worth £150, and the top four teams will go through to the county final. Competitors can also win Eurostar tickets and raffle prizes including a spa day and Hornby toys and collectables.
Organiser Dominic Comins added: “Keeping on top of everything that’s going on can get quite full-on when there are so many teams, so we’re really grateful to Office Angels for helping out.
“And if your firm hires any temps between now and then, be kind to them – as they will have your precious answer sheet at the quiz!”
The KM Big Charity Quiz is supported by Barclays, who will be matching the money raised and running the charity bar, Shepherd Neame, which will be donating the drinks for the bar, Hallett and Co Solicitors, Specsavers, and IMP who are providing the PA system.
The quiz takes place at the Ashford International Hotel in Simone Weil Avenue from 7pm. To book, visit www.kmbigquiz.co.uk and use the discount code KMNEWS18.
