Kent Messenger charity of the year Guide Dogs for the Blind Medway have called for teams of residents and businesses to pit their wits against each other and help raise a windfall for charity.
Guide Dogs Medway Branch member, John Ferguson says: “Medway Guide Dogs pups are smart, but the Medway Committee Quiz team are the smartest, can you beat them in the KM Big Quiz?”
Big money is up for grabs for quizzers and charities on the 10 March 2017. Having already raised more than £40,000 for Medway charities over the last decade, this year’s event will support both Medway Messenger charities of the year, Guide Dogs for the Blind and Gillingham Scouts, alongside KM Walk To School road safety services.
The popular quiz is packed with entertainment and prizes and will be held at the St Georges Hotel in Chatham. Teams will enjoy a night of brainteasers and banter with a prize packed raffle and the chance to win a pair of Eurostar tickets – all for under £7 a head with discount code MED17.
Dominic Comins, events manager at the KM Charity Team which organises the event, said: “Whether you are a burgeoning Egghead or don’t know your University Challenge from your Mastermind, it doesn’t matter! You’ll still have a fun night out, a chance to win some great prizes and most importantly, help raise funds for some fantastic local charities!”
Key partners Shepherd Neame will provide a charity bar, whilst Barclays will double all cash raised for good causes. Further organisations backing the event include Hornby, Independent Music Productions and Eurostar.
