Participants attending Kent’s brightest event are getting ready to tackle our rainbow route at the KM Colour Run, and we are getting closer to breaking records.
So far a total of 450 entrants have signed up to run, walk or jog through the 5K rainbow route, and a key partner of the fun run is urging the push to break 500.
Ellie Lewis of Swanstaff Recruitment, said: “The KM Colour Run is a fantastic event that we are proud to be involved with. It serves the perfect opportunity for team-building, but more importantly is designed to raise vital funds for good causes across the county. We are so close to that record-breaking 500 figure, so if you are yet to secure your place, do so today!”
She added: “We’ll be on-site welcoming all the guests, and a number of our staff will be taking part in the run too. We even have our very own green powder paint to spray all over the runners so keep your eyes peeled!”
Booking is now open for the challenge event staged at Betteshanger Park, near Deal on Sunday, June 12. Entrance fee is charged at £15 which includes a limited edition white t-shirt (the aim of the run is to “start white, end bright”), protective sunglasses, a small pouch of coloured paint and a commemorative medal.
Runners have the option to fundraise for their favourite charity, or for an organisation affiliated with the event such as the Kent, Surrey and Sussex Air Ambulance. Alternatively, the run can be entered simply for fun.
Dominic Comins, events manager at the KM Charity Team, said: “We are aiming to make this year’s Colour Run the biggest and best event on record, and being so close to that huge 500 attendance figure will make this goal all-the-more possible. Whether you are a keen runner or merely a novice jogger, come along and take part in the challenge day.”
