A leading holiday retailer has swapped passports for putters by becoming a corporate ambassador of a charity golf day.
Holiday Extras, an online organisation based in Hythe which supplies thousands of holiday-goers with pre-booked airport hotels and parking annually, is supporting the KM Charity Golf Challenge.
Sean Hagger, Commercial Director at Holiday Extras, said: “We provide support for local sports events and teams each year, and we are delighted to be part of this charitable initiative.”
He added: “It’s going to be a fantastic day and will provide great networking opportunities for businesses in the local area; perfect for informal meetings with clients or active engagement with your workforce.”
Booking is now open for the event which is staged at Boughton Golf Club, Nr Faversham on Friday, May 20.
The event will be raising money for services which provide road safety awareness and literacy skills development to children in schools across Kent and Medway.
Dominic Comins, events manager at the KM Charity Team which is organising the event, said: “I’m thrilled to host the challenge day with Holiday Extras and am very grateful for their support. I hope to see many faces at tee-off in May.”
The challenge is a pairs competition and costs £99 per pair, but a £10 discount will be applied by using the code GOLF16 when booking at www.kmcharityteam.co.uk/booking
Golfers will receive breakfast and a two-course dinner, as well as 18 holes of golf, a putting competition, a raffle and an auction. Individual prizes will also be allocated on the day.
Funds raised will support initiatives including Walk on Wednesday (WOW), Active Bug and Buster’s Book Club.
