Brainboxes can support the Kentish Gazette’s Charity of the Year by taking part in a record-breaking charity quiz evening.
Pilgrims Hospice in East Kent will benefit from funds raised at the Canterbury Big Charity Quiz, staged at the University of Kent’s sports hall.
Robert Grew, of Pilgrims Hospice, said: “We are absolutely delighted to be the KG’s Charity of the Year and grateful to be involved with the quiz. Money raised will support over 2,300 patients we care for across East Kent every year.”
Other beneficiaries from the evening are the League of Friends at Kent and Canterbury Hospital, and child road safety initiatives.
Organised by the KM Charity Team, the quiz takes place on Friday, April 22 and provides a charity bar, raffle and individual prizes including the ‘Win in 10’ competition.
Teams of eight are required to take part and booking is now open.
Dominic Comins, events manager at the charity, said: “The sports hall at the university has plenty of space for many teams. We really hope groups take part and support such a worthwhile cause.”
Teams of eight are required to take part with tables priced at £65, but a £10 discount is available by applying the code CANT16 when booking at kmbigquiz.co.uk
Key partners of the quiz include MHA McIntyre Hudson, Shepherd Neame and Barclays.
