People taking part in this year's KM Big Quiz won't be going thirsty, thanks to a donation from Sainsbury's.
The supermarket giant has donated 168 bottles of wine for the charity quiz, to be held at Maidstone Leisure Centre, Mote Park, from 7pm on Friday, November 14.
With the supermarket already on board, the KM Group is now seeking further sponsors to donate £100 each and lend their name to one of seven quiz rounds.
Proceeds for the quiz will be divided between the Heart of Kent Hospice, children's road safety charity Kent Walking Bus and the Mayor of Maidstone's charity appeal (50 per cent to the hospice and 25 per cent to the other two causes).
A fund-raising game during the evening will raise cash for Children In Need.
KM Big Quiz question master Simon Dolby hopes this year's event can be the biggest yet, topping last year's total of 67 teams.
He said: "It's like a pub quiz on a massive scale, because we're filling a sports hall.
"We want to beat the number of teams that came last year and we want to raise more money than last year.
"It's a big, exciting event and an opportunity to do something for the community."
Other sponsors include Maidstone Leisure Centre, which is providing the venue free of charge, Fremlin Walk and P&O Ferries, which will give the winning team a free trip to France for up to nine people in a car.
Shepherd Neame will organise the charity Spitfire bar.
