An estate agent is making a statement for charity by featuring the KM’s Big Quiz event on 50 property boards around town.
Online-only residential sales business Property Online made its official launch on September 1 by announcing its support for the quiz, which is being staged by the KM Charity Team at the Stour Centre in Ashford on Friday, October 10.
Director of Property Online Gareth Harmer said: “I’ve lived in Ashford for 12 years and regard this as my town, my community and I think it’s proper that our business supports local causes in the town. I’m delighted to back the KM Big Quiz and the important causes it will support.”
Mr Harmer said he set up Property Online to reduce estate agent costs for customers. In his experience 60% of people don’t enter a high street office meaning they are effectively paying a high commission charge for a service they don’t want.
Event organiser Dominic Comins of the KM Charity Team said: “I’d like to thank Property Online for their generosity in placing Big Quiz signs all over the area.
“Hopefully everyone who sees a sign will get a team together and really make it an event to remember! We’ve got a fantastic evening planned of fun, banter and prizes as well as supporting some wonderful causes.”
The KM Big Charity Quiz is raising funds for Ashford Foodbank, Kent Multiple Sclerosis Therapy Centre, KM Walk to School, and road safety training for children.
Teams will receive a drink on arrival, ploughman’s meal, entry into a free draw to win a P&O Ferry ticket, and bottle of wine on the table. Top prizes include classic toys and collectables from Hornby and £500 in cash with the KM Cash Builder.
Sponsors include Barclays, Shepherd Neame, Specsavers, Hallett and Co and McDonald’s.
