Charities are advised to book their places this week for the Kent and Medway Funding Fair.
The event offers fundraising tips and networking for charities, social enterprises and voluntary organisations across the South East. Organisers are calling for interested parties to register now to ensure they don’t miss out.
Attendees will have access to almost 50 funders and support organisations for one-to-one advice. There will be a breakfast networking meeting as well as 29 seminars to choose from, including a talk by Simon Dolby, chief executive of the KM Charity Team.
Nigel Turley, chief executive of Funding For All, said: “Our idea, this year, of having specialist streams of seminars (Buildings and Sport) seems to be very popular. The sessions on crowd funding, content of a grant application, the new Gift Aid opportunities and the benefits of choosing the right legal structure have all had a good response."
He added: “The Funders attending have attracted a lot of interest, particularly Comic Relief, UnLtd, Arts Council, ESF and Trussell Trust, who have never attended one of our Fairs before.”
Other seminars receiving strong advance bookings include those presented by Big Lottery, Kent Community Foundation, KCC Funding Streams, Heritage Lottery and the KM Charity Team.
A ticket for the Kent and Medway Funding Fair costs £15 and includes a two-course lunch, refreshments and pastries for the networking breakfast.
The Fair, organised by Funding for All, is on Wednesday, May 28 at Maidstone’s New Line Learning Academy.
