The hunt for South Kent’s leading eggheads is now on as the Ashford heat of the KM Big Charity Quiz has been officially launched.
Key partners of the annual fundraising challenge gathered at County Square Shopping Centre, Ashford to unveil the event and kick-start the campaign for teams to take part.
Dan Shaw of long-standing supporter Specsavers said: “We at Specsavers are thrilled to be involved with the quiz once again, and we greatly value the charities and good causes which benefit from the evening. The Ashford heat serves up a fantastic night of fun, so we hope many teams secure their places.”
Staff from Office Angels will be assisting the quiz for a tenth year, supplying runners and raffle ticket sales on the evening. Lindsay Bonner of Office Angels is excited to get proceedings underway. “We’ll have lots of people running around on the night gathering answer sheets and more, but we’ll also have a team taking part on the night. We are quite competitive, but if you fancy a challenge, be sure to come along and take us on!,” she said.
Tickets are now available for the the giant wine and wisdom evening staged at The Stour Centre on Friday, November 18.
Competing teams will enjoy table wine, a complimentary drink upon arrival and a selection of delicious treats, as well as the opportunity to win some fantastic individual prizes throughout the night including a pair of Eurostar tickets, and a variety of raffle items.
With tables priced at just £65 for eight team members, plus an additional £10 reduction when applying booking code ASH16, that means you can enjoy a great evening for less than £7 a head.
The quiz provides the perfect environment for friends and families to get together, but also serves as a great team-building exercise for employees and clientele. Abigail Howland of Hallett and Co. said: “We are dedicated to providing aid to the many good causes across the county, and the Big Quiz enables us to this as well as strengthen rapport with colleagues and customers.”
Shepherd Neame will be providing a charity bar on the night serving an assortment of soft and alcoholic drinks, whilst Barclays will double all cash raised for good causes including the Kentish Express’ charity of the year FareShare and children’s road safety services across the county.
Chris Norman of FareShare joined partners at the launch, and offered thanks to the KM Group for their support throughout the year. “We are simply delighted to be a Charity of the Year and are so grateful for the continued support from the KM during 2016. We eagerly await the Ashford quiz and look forward to seeing many happy faces on the night,” he said.
