Good causes can get help on how to cash in on grant funding to continue their vital work.
Booking is now open for a half day training course run by the KM Charity Team - giving a wealth of tips and advice on crafting the perfect grant application.
The session will be led by deputy CEO of the children’s charity, Rebecca Smith, who, in her previous role at Social Enterprise Kent helped to bring in more than £1million of contracts. She will be joined by grants officer Michael James, who has 10 years’ experience in the voluntary sector helping small charities obtain grants.
Mrs Smith said: “Applying for grants can be a difficult process. You need to convey to a complete stranger why what you do is vital and deserves a share of their limited pot of cash – and no matter how passionate you are about what you do, that can be easier said than done.
“We’re aiming this session at people who are new to grant applications and probably feel like they don’t know where to start.”
The session will take place on Friday, February 9 from 9.30am to 12.30pm at the KM Charity Team offices in Whitstable. The price includes a sandwich platter lunch and tea and coffee beforehand.
