A RECORD-ATTEMPT to create Kent's biggest wine and wisdom evening has received backing from Parry Sharratt Solicitors.

The Whitstable legal firm has agreed to be a main sponsor of the Canterbury district’s record breaking wine and wisdom evening, which will be held at 7pm on Friday, March 28 at the Body and Mind sports hall, Knight Avenue, Canterbury.

The Canterbury heat of Kent’s biggest wine and wisdom evening will support four charities including Kent Walking Bus, the League of Friends at Canterbury Hospital, the Lady Mayoress of Canterbury’s Charity Appeal and the Canterbury branch of the RSPCA, which is raising funds to build an animal rescue centre at Hersden, near Canterbury.

A table costs £60 with each guest receiving a ploughman’s meal and complimentary glass of Hardy’s wine, donated by Morrisons. To book a table for eight people book online at www.kmwalktoschool.co.uk

Two new partners have recently joined the Whitstable branch of Parry Sharratt Solicitors and all four are aiming to compete in the KM Big Quiz.

Stephen Parry and Tim Goodwin have been joined by conveyancing and property specialist John Glass and commercial and company law expert Chris Albion.

Mr Parry said: “We are delighted to support the Big Quiz. All four causes are excellent are deserving of our backing. I hope many, many organisations, businesses and groups of KM readers will be joining us at this important charity event.”

As well as Parry Sharratt Solicitors the event’s main sponsors include Serco, Brett Aggregates, BSF consulting engineers, P&O Ferries and Shepherd Neame and the Body and Mind sports centre.

Event organisers still need additional raffle prizes as well as organisations to sponsor each of the seven quiz rounds at a cost of £100. For information call Simon Dolby on 07989 164 752.
