AN EXCITING opportunity to be part of an attempt to create Kent’s biggest wine and wisdom event this year is on offer at the KM Big Charity Quiz in Maidstone.
Maidstone Leisure Centre is hosting the evening on Friday, June 20 and there is still time to enter a team.
Event organiser Dominic Comins, of the KM Charity Team, urged people to join the record-breaking attempt. “The evening will appeal to the serious quiz-goer as well as groups who are just there for a fun night out,” he said.
Funds raised will go towards the SECAMB Community First Responders, Maidstone Girls’ Grammar School PFA, and the children’s road safety work of the KM Charity Team.
Day Smith and Hunter (DSH), a firm of chartered accountants and business advisors, is putting together a team and throwing down the gauntlet to quiz-goers.
Mr Startup, partner at DSH, said: “We are pleased to be involved with the KM Big Charity Quiz, not only with sponsorship but by actively taking part in it. The quiz is one event in the firm’s social calendar where we can always rely on a good turnout from staff. We are looking forward to this year’s battle of wits.”
The star raffle prize is a Pop Party Recording Experience worth £200. The prize allows a group of up to eight children to have a party to remember by recording their own songs onto personalised CDs.
Other prizes up for grabs include classic toys and collectables from Hornby, and £250 in cash with the KM Cash Builder.
As well as Day Smith and Hunter (DSH), the Big Quiz is supported by Barclays, Shepherd Neame, Hornby Visitor Centre and Gift Daze.
