Good causes are being urged to apply to become KM Charity of the Year 2016 for a share of the KM Group’s millions.

The winning charity or voluntary group will receive coverage from their local KM newspaper, kmfm radio and KentOnline - which attracts 1,937,671 unique browsers each month - throughout 2016.

KM Group multimedia space given over to promote charities over the past year was valued at £2.69m giving community causes a huge platform to showcase their work to readers and listeners and invite donations.

The chosen Charity of the Year will also be supported by KM-branded charity activities including the KM Big Bike Ride and KM Big Charity Quiz events which have helped some of the most deserving causes across the county raise significant sums during the last 12 months.

Any cause whether local or national is invited to apply for KM Charity of the Year before the deadline of Wednesday, October 21.

Simon Dolby of the KM Charity Team said: “I would urge charities to make their applications as soon as possible for the chance to get their hands on a share of millions of pounds worth of multimedia coverage.

“The selected cause will be given a huge PR boost and access to fantastic fundraising opportunities.”

NEW TO 2016

The winning KM Charity of the Year will become a star of the small screen in 2016.

The chosen charity will receive its own free promotional video created by contributors to KMTV - the KM Group’s television station - for use on the charity’s website and social media.

KM Charity Team staff who provide footage for KMTV will use their skills to produce a video trumpeting the cause’s work and plans for 2016.
