Adrenaline junkies can get their fix and raise money for charity by taking part in the annual KM Assault Course Challenge.
The event, organised by the KM’s charity department and sponsored by Fairweathers Solicitors, is now open for entry.
Teams of six people will test their mettle at Fowlmead Country Park on Saturday, October 4 while boosting the coffers of their favourite good causes. The 530m course will be packed with 19 obstacles including tunnels and balance beams as well as a rope walk, water jump and tyre wall.
Prizes will be given to the team that raises the most funds for charity and the team with the best fancy dress outfits. New to 2014 is a top prize for the biggest individual fundraiser, who will win £250 to spend at Bluewater shopping centre.
Event organiser Dominic Comins said: “This is a great team building event designed for participants aged 14 and over. Teams can gather sponsorship to support their favourite good cause and have a lot of fun on the day.”
He added: “Last year’s event sold out quickly with 38 teams scrambling to raise £8,000 for good causes. This is a very popular event so don’t delay in booking your team.”
Seventy per cent of sponsorship raised goes to participants’ named charities with the remainder going to the children’s road safety work of the KM Charity Team.
Book your team at www.kmcharitychallenge.co.uk for £72 and use the online booking code KMAC14DL to receive a £12 discount.
