A riot of madcap runners shook off their Christmas calories on New Year’s Day for the annual charity Bra Run.

People of all ages took part wearing a variety of colourful wigs and outfits.

There were city gents, pirates and even a penguin, all raising money for Breast Cancer Care.

Bras were worn with pride, mainly over the outfits, and about 260 runners took part in the Deal Tri event, which started at Deal Castle and covered a 5km seafront course.
