An autumn fair at a nursery in Seasalter has raised more than £600.
And part of the money - £110 - will go to an appeal to help former pupil Reece Puddington, who is suffering from cancer of the nervous system.
Reece, who will be six on December 6, now attends Swalecliffe Primary School and although very ill he managed to visit the fair while on his way to hospital.
The money-raising event took place at Abbot House nursery in Faversham Road, in the bungalow where it is based, next to Seasalter Christian Centre.
Supervisor Vanessa Farnham said: “It went very well indeed and there were lots of activities going on.
"The highlight of the afternoon was a brief visit from Reece.
"The community of Seasalter really supported the nursery.”
Attractions included a bouncy castle, face painting by Paulette Stubbings, stalls and tombola and the fair was organised by Becky Whittaker, Dee Clayton-Brennan and Jane Myhill.
The rest of the money raised will be used for equipment for the nursery.
