Hundreds of fund-raisers took to the streets at midnight to raise money for a hospice.
Six hundred and thirty five people took part in the women-only half-marathon Moonlit Walk, on Saturday night, to raise money for the Heart of Kent Hospice.
The 13-mile hike, which started and ended at Kings Hill Community Centre and took walkers to the grounds of the hospice at Preston Hall, Aylesford, was kicked off by Ann Widdecombe (Con), MP for Maidstone and the Weald.
At the end they were greeted with a well-earned bacon roll or vegetarian sausage bap, served by the Territorial Army. Organisers hope to have raised more than £75,000 from the event.
Jennie Hubbard , spokesman for the hospice, said: "It was an amazing evening."
