Pedal pushers will be all the rage next month when hundreds of cyclists take up the KM Big Bike Ride challenge.

Three R’s Teacher Recruitment agency will be among the crowds saddling up for charity on Sunday, April 26.

Amy Woods, primary education consultant at Three R’s, said: “We are very excited to be taking part in the Big Bike Ride. Alison Nightingale, Johanna Hillman and I will be riding 50km in the event organised by the KM Charity Team.

“We hope to have a really fun day but also will be doing our best to raise money for a charity we have supported for many years - Demelza Hospice Care for Children, a specialist children's hospice providing care and support to children and parents.”

Participants can select a 50km or 100km route - both taking in great swathes of stunning coastline and countryside – while raising funds for their chosen good cause.

Event organiser Julia Williamson of the KM Charity Team urged anyone with a bike to book now while there’s still time. “It’s a fun day out for families and friends, a great team builder for businesses, and a real boon for charities,” she said.

Vattenfall is key partner for the event which is also supported by Locks of Sandwich Cycles. The two circular routes start from the Baypoint Club in Sandwich where participants and well wishers can also attend a free Green Travel Festival on the same day.
