GILLINGHAM Football Club's impressive banqueting rooms have been named as the venue for this year's KM Walking Bus Awards.
The event will take place on Thursday, November 10, 2005.
Volunteers who help keep Kent’s Walking Buses running are promised a magical evening at the Walking Bus Group's annual awards.
As well as the annual meeting of the charity, which supports Walking Buses across the county, much of the evening will be a celebration of the hard work and commitment of parent volunteers who operate schemes.
The event will take place in the function rooms of Gillingham’s Priestfield Stadium on Thursday, November 10, 2005.
The annual meeting of the charity will take place at 7pm and is open to all families and organisations involved with Walking Buses in Kent.
As well as electing a new committee it will give families using Walking Buses an opportunity to quiz trustees of the charity on operational issues. Those attending the annual meeting must have a ticket. A newsletter will be sent to parents involved with the project next week giving details of how to apply for tickets.
At 8pm the awards night dinner will take place. This is also a ticket-only function and because of the limitation on space this may have to be limited to the award winners only. For information on ticket availability view the project’s website at www.kentwalkingbus.org.
