Pub's racy calendar will benefit charity

REGULAR customers at a Rochester public house did the Full Monty for charity. A group of 11 men at the North Foreland posed for the cameras to make a 2002 calendar to raise money for the Medway Lions, the pub’s charity for the year.

Landlady Cheryl Sullivan said: “We had a good laugh. I didn’t see anything I shouldn’t have but it was a close thing. Everyone was happy to take part and they they didn’t need much persuading.”

Cheryl’s daughter Elise came up with the idea a week ago and assembled the props and backdrops. Cheryl addedd: “We had daffodils for March, school uniforms for September, scarfs and snow for January. The 11 men did one month each and they all posed together for December with Father Christmas outfits.”

Cheryl and landlord Roy Doole are producing the calendar themselves with the help of pub regulars who have printing equipment.

It will be on sale for £3.50 from December 21.
