Former England, Spurs and Liverpool footballer Neil "Razor" Ruddock was among celebrities who attracted a big crowd to a charity football match in Ashford.

He captained a celebrity team taking on Ashford Town past and present in the kmfm Charity Challenge Cup.

The match at Homelands was held in aid of the William Harvey Cardiac Care Unit after it saved the life of Ashford Town Football Club director Gary Kirton.

Webbo (John Webster) from kmfm's breakfast show, who captained the home side, said: "It was unbelievable.

"We sold 1,600 tickets and hope all in all the evening could raise up to £10,000 for the cardiac care unit."
