Two young walk to school champions will get the chance switch on the festive lights at Westwood Cross on Saturday November 15.
The honour will be awarded to two children who are top for green travel and are regular supporters of the KM Walk to School campaign.
Schools using the popular Walk on Wednesday and Active Bug schemes will compete in a Thanet-wide competition tomorrow with the class that is top for green travel receiving a free visit to Santa's grotto at Westwood Cross.
This week bosses at the shopping area announced that two of the children due to meet Santa will now also get the chance to join dignitaries to switch-on the impressive lighting display at 5pm on November 15.
Simon Dolby from KM Walk to School said: "This is such a fantastic prize. We are delighted at the continuing support of Westwood Cross and all their efforts to help the walk to school campaign in Thanet."
