School staff and governors across Kent and Medway can reap the benefits of a KM Walk to School Master Class and much more at the free KM Charity Team Forum.
The annual event staged on Monday, October 3 will offer insightful information about how your school can become actively involved with the variety of educational initiatives supplied by the KM Group’s charitable sector.
Guests will be invited to sit in on the following educational sessions:
Session 1. Walk to School Master Class – Find out how school staff can become a Green Champion and how your staff can tap into Pupil Voice to encourage children to drive the green travel message. How to stage a road safety awareness week and tackle congestion at the school gates.
Session 2. Buster’s Book Club – Join the focus group to talk through the detail of the highly successful Buster’s Book Club scheme that encourages home reading. Help suggest tweaks to the next version of the scheme or learn about it if you are new to the system. Buster’s Book Club is causing a sensation in the county with schools achieving two million minutes of reading last year.
Session 3. Great Trips – Leeds Castle and Wildwood Trust will detail the educational support and resources available to schools. See their educational materials first hand and talk to education staff to help you plan your next school trip.
The KM Charity Team Forum will also host an array of charity-themed workshops which include how to apply to become KM Charity of the Year 2017, how to request Treasure Chest prizes for auctions and raffles, and how to make the most of fundraising and training opportunities.
Simon Dolby, chief executive of the KM Charity Team, said: “We’re looking forward to demonstrating the range of award-winning services on offer to schools and governors, and we hope many opt to join forces with us during the 2016-2017 academic year. The KM Charity Team Forum will be cram-packed with information which will be both beneficial to educators, pupils and parents alike.”
The KM Charity Team Forum is staged at the Mecure Great Danes Hotel, Ashford Road, Hollingbourne, Maidstone, Kent ME17 1RE
