Give hard-working volunteers a shout-out by nominating them in the Kent Charity Awards.
This year’s awards are now open for you to show your support for local charities and give them the recognition they deserve. You can submit your nominations here.
The awards, now in their 10th year, help people to show their appreciation for volunteers, charities and trustees in the county who dedicate their time to others.
The 2025 awards are open to large and small charities based in Kent or national charities that offer services within the county.
Susan Robinson, head judge and partner at Kreston Reeves, said: “The charity sector faces many challenges, be it funding, lack of volunteers, or increased demand and societal expectations.
“The Kent Charity Awards is a great opportunity for the sponsors to recognise the sector's contribution to Kent, congratulate them on their hard work and say thank you.”
Entry is open to large and small charities based in Kent or nationwide charities that offer a strong service delivery in the county.
Individuals can also nominate trustees or volunteers who go above and beyond for their charity. These two prestigious awards celebrate the dedication and involvement of volunteers in their organisations.
Alex Richardson, CEO of last year’s Start-up of the Year, Talking Services, said: “Winning this award means everything to us. To be able to be nominated for such a prestigious award is one thing, but to win means so much.
“We have already had several large organisations approach us asking to speak further about collaboration, and having this award paves the way for new funding opportunities.
“Being able to say we are Kent Start-up Charity of the Year allows us recognition, which helps with funding. People have also approached me to say they are proud of what we have achieved, leaving us with that special feeling that we have this.”
Nomination can be made here.
The deadline is Friday, May 2 and the judges will compile a shortlist shortly after nominations close.
The Kent Charity Awards are sponsored by Kreston Reeves, Medway Council, Kent Community Foundation, AMEY, CAF Bank, Financial Advice and Services, Brachers, Primech Building Services, Fallow Management, GrainLNG, Savills and KM Media Group.
