Ashford Foodbank is urging quiz fans to book now for the KM Big Charity Quiz to help people ‘in crisis’.
The charity will get a share of the proceeds raised at the event, which promises prizes galore including £500 in cash.
Chris Norman, operations manager at Ashford Foodbank, said: “We are delighted to be supported by the KM Big Charity Quiz. The funds raised by this fun and no doubt highly competitive night will help us continue to deliver the food bank service in the Ashford area.
“The support will directly help feed members of our local community in crisis situations who would otherwise go hungry, and will also start to get them help to address the underlying needs that caused the crisis in the first place.”
The evening of brainteasers and banter is being held on Friday, October 10 at the Stour Centre.
Tickets cost £65 per team of up to eight and this includes ploughman’s meal, drink on arrival and bottle of wine on the table.
Each participant will get free entry into a draw to win a P&O Ferry ticket. One lucky quiz goer will take part in the KM Cash Builder where £500 is up for grabs.
Event organiser Dominic Comins said: “It’s a fantastic evening of fun, laughter and great prizes. Bring friends, family or work colleagues; everyone is welcome and the more teams that sign up the more money goes to charity.”
Other causes receiving a share of the charity pot are Kent Multiple Sclerosis Therapy Centre, KM Walk to School, and road safety training for children.
Sponsors include Barclays, Shepherd Neame, Specsavers, Hallett and Co and McDonald’s.
