Runners can bring colour to the cheeks – and everywhere else – by taking part in a charity colour run this year.
The KM Colour Run is staged at Betteshanger Country Park near Deal on Sunday, June 12, and local solicitors Gardner Croft of Canterbury are calling for rainbow route participants.
Sharon Selsby, of Gardner Croft, said: “Colour runs are fantastic fun and something everyone should partake in. Those who aren’t keen on running can walk the 5km route; just prepare to look a little different when you cross the finish line!”
Suitable for all ages, entrants are not timed throughout the run and can complete the course at their own pace.
Donning white KM Colour Run t-shirts and sunglasses – included in the ticket price – the aim is to ‘start white, end bright’.
Organised by the KM Charity Team, the run enables competitors to raise money for their chosen good causes, or simply for a fun.
Peer Le Fleming, Senior Partner at Gardner Croft, said: “The event is a win-win for everybody involved. It’s a win for our staff who can contribute to the chosen charities we have, and it’s a win for our active involvement with the Kent community.”
Booking is now open for the event. Tickets are priced at £15 for adults and £10 for children 16 and under. All runners will receive a limited edition medal upon completion.
Dominic Comins, events manager at the charity, said: “Last year’s event provided a thrilling challenge day for all our runners. We look forward to seeing plenty of smiling, colour-splattered faces this June.”
The KM Colour Run is supported by Barclays and Swanstaff Recruitment.
