The Medway heat of the KM Big Charity Quiz will have real specs appeal thanks to a high street chain of opticians.
Specsavers’ Gillingham branch is swapping eye tests for brain teasers at the mammoth wine and wisdom style event in March.
Proceeds raised will support the work of the Medway Messenger newspaper’s charity of the year Guide Dogs for the Blind and Gillingham Scouts alongside road safety services for children.
Craig Holland of Specsavers said: “We are excited to be supporting this year’s Medway Big Quiz. I think it would be great to have two teams - one from Chatham, one from Gillingham - competing against each other. We can take on our local customers as well! All stores are looking forward to it and can’t wait for the night.”
Organised by the KM Charity Team the KM Big Quiz is now open for booking and will be staged at the St George Hotel, Chatham on Friday, March 10.
Key partners Shepherd Neame will provide a charity bar, whilst Barclays will double all cash raised for good causes. Further organisations backing the event include Hornby, Independent Music Productions and Eurostar.
Event organiser Dominic Comins of the KM Charity Team said: “The KM Big Quiz is a fun night out perfect for friends and families as well as businesses that want to do a bit of team building or get involved with the community.”
Visit www.kmbigquiz.co.uk to book a team of eight for £65 and use the code MED17 to receive a £10 discount. Participants will receive substantial nibbles and snacks plus a bottle of wine and water for the team to share.
