Support your favourite cause at the KM Charity Walk this month and get a special entry discount to a beautiful attraction in Kent.
Charity Walk participants will receive 20% off the price of a visit to Brogdale Collections, home to the biggest collection of fruit trees in the world.
Walkers can redeem their discount on the day of the walk or come back another time as the offer is valid until October. The Faversham-based attraction boasts over 4,000 varieties of apples, pears, plums, cherries, cobnuts, currents and quinces.
Kimberly Campion, development officer at Brogdale Collections, said: “We are very pleased to be able to support not only the KM Charity Team but the numerous other charities who will benefit from the walk. The landscape and the surrounding areas really are outstanding in natural beauty so Brogdale will provide the perfect start point.”
There are two routes to choose from; a five-mile and a 10-mile version, both starting from Brogdale Collections and walkers can raise sponsorship for any good cause of their choice.
Event organiser Nancy Clark said: “Both routes take in historic Faversham as well as scenic woodlands, fields and country lanes, while the longer route also includes the charm of Faversham Creek. It’s a delightful walk.”
Each participant will collect stamps at two stamping stations - conveniently located near pubs - to earn a goody bag and certificate at the finish line.
The KM Charity Walk, which is sponsored by Shepherd Neame, takes place on Sunday, June 29. Funds raised will be divided between participants’ named charities and the children’s road safety work of the KM Charity Team.
