Hundreds of participants are expected to step out for the 22 annual KM Charity Walk on Sunday, June 25.
Booking is now open for the summer event which is popular with families, walking groups and charity supporters. Youngsters under 16 go free and dogs are welcome on the walk making the event a great day out for all.
Walkers can take part just for fun or to raise sponsorship money for any charity of their choice as they follow either a 5- or 10-mile circular route starting from Grade II listed mansion Mote House, Maidstone.
Last year, 300 walkers - ranging from the youngest aged just four to the oldest at 83 years old - took part and raised £17,000 for 31 good causes.
Each participant will receive a goody bag and limited edition medal at the finish line and the event concludes with a summer fayre in the mansion grounds with stalls, barbecue, and live music. This year, Simply Ice Cream will provide an ice cream van at the venue.
The event is backed by Maidstone Ramblers, Gullands Solicitors, Glosrose Group, The Woodstove Trading Company and Mote House Audley.
Event organiser Sophie Wallace of the KM Charity Team said: “We urge charity fundraisers, leisure walkers, and keen ramblers alike to book now for a fantastic walk through beautiful countryside, and don’t forget to join us afterwards at the summer fayre for refreshments, entertainment and relaxation.”
