Primary school children in Kent and Medway have the chance to win an unforgettable experience at a leading family attraction.
The top prize for a writing competition organised by the KM Charity Team is the chance to become boss of the Rare Breeds Centre, Ashford for a morning.
The farming attraction set within 100 acres of beautiful Kent countryside is a popular day out for families. Visitors enjoy indoor and outdoor encounters with a variety of farm and pet animals plus tractor rides, a play barn, shop and restaurant.
To enter the contest, children must complete an activity sheet called The Power of Persuasion where they write a letter to persuade a friend to join them on the walk to school. Entries will be judged on creativity, persuasiveness, awareness of the benefits of green travel and quality of handwriting.
Parents or guardians can assist with downloading and printing the activity sheet for their child as well as posting the completed letter to the KM Charity Team.
Whoever writes the best entry will take charge of the Rare Breeds Centre and enjoy an action packed experience.
Joanne Creighton, chief executive of the Rare Breeds Centre, said: “They’ll have the opportunity to work with our brilliant farm manager so they’ll check out all the animals, they’ll do inspections of our play equipment and we may even get them to check out the zip wire too!
“There’ll be lots of other really exciting things to do so we really hope the children get out their pens and get thinking.”
