With just one month to go until the Maidstone Abseil, now is the time to secure your place and select your chosen good cause.
Those brave enough to scale the 130ft drop at Midhurst Court will be raising thousands of pounds for charity in the process, and event partners Kent, Surrey and Sussex Air Ambulance are calling for participants to support their lifesaving organisation.
Bridget Pepper of Kent, Surrey and Sussex Air Ambulance, said: "We are looking for those with nerves of steel to tackle the drop and help us to continue our vital work across the county in the process. Every year we attend to over 2,000 patients, bringing accident and emergency skills to the scene of critical medical traumas. In order to maintain this level of service, we must raise in excess of £6.5 million each year."
She added: "The fearless men and women who take on the Maidstone Abseil in our name will be helping to prolong our charity, so if you are up for the challenge, secure your place today!"
Booking is now open for the challenge event which takes place on Sunday, June 5 at Midhurst Court. Applying code MAID16 when booking at www.kmcharitychallenge.co.uk will grant a small discount to the overall fee.
Those raising funds for good causes are expected to try and raise a minimum of £75.
Dominic Comins, events manager at the KM Charity Team which orgnaises the event, said: "The Maidstone Abseil is one of the biggest challenge events in our calendar, and it offers one of the biggest drops on record. The Kent, Surrey and Sussex Air Ambulance need to be brave and bold on a daily basis in order to save so many lives, so if you think you are brave and bold enough to take on the tower, sign up now!"
The KM Maidstone Abseil Challenge is backed by key partners DSH Day, Smith and Hunter Chartered Accountants, and Golding Homes.
