BayPoint Club is to play a leading role in the KM’s seaside summer abseil challenge in more ways than one.
The company’s owner Tony Harrison and sports manager Sam Perkins will be first to take the plunge from the Channel Suite balcony during the event staged by the KM Charity Team at Leas Cliff Hall on Sunday, June 14.
Places are still available but organisers are advising early booking as sales are going fast. Participants can use the event to raise sponsorship for any good cause of their choice including Guide Dogs for the Blind, Folkestone and District Mind and Prostate Cancer Support Association Kent.
This week BayPoint has been appointed Corporate Ambassador for the KM Charity Team in recognition of its work with the KM’s charity department helping the county’s good causes.
Sam Perkins of BayPoint said: “We are delighted to support the KM's Folkestone abseil challenge. Dozens of causes will benefit from this and we are really excited to play a leading role supporting the event."
Event organiser Dominic Comins of the KM Charity Team said: "Sam and the BayPoint team were a key partner for our record breaking KM Big Bike Ride in April which helped more than 40 charities.
“I’m delighted they are also backing our abseil challenge and it gives me great pleasure to name BayPoint a Corporate Ambassador.”
The KM summer abseil is also supported by Holiday Extras and Over the Edge Adventures.
