Temps from Office Angels are looking forward to a big job next Friday: providing support services at the KM Big Charity Quiz.
They will be acting as runners at the competition on April 26, collecting the different teams’ answer sheets and making sure everything runs like clockwork.
And with days left until the quiz takes place, the company urged would-be contestants who haven’t yet booked their tables to hurry up and do so before the event is completely sold out.
Lindsay Prescott from Office Angels said: “We have supported the KM Big Quiz over 10 years, and it is an event we look forward to every year.
“With just over a week to go until this year’s Canterbury KM Big Quiz, there are still some tickets available, so buy them now and don’t miss out on attending a fabulous evening all arranged for great causes.”
Teams of up to eight people can take part in the quiz, which will raise money for Kentish Gazette charity of the year Eva’s Angels, the Kent and Canterbury Hospital’s League of Friends and literacy and road safety services for schools across the county.
A share of the funds will also be given to a participating charity chosen via prize draw.
The League of Friends will also be providing a free ploughman’s for everyone taking part. And contestants will be able to wash it down with a drink or two from the fundraising bar donated by Shepherd Neame. Every penny raised at the bar will be match-funded by Barclays Bank.
The quiz takes place at the University of Kent’s sports hall, with doors opening at 6.20pm for a 7pm start, and the fun estimated to finish at about 10.30pm.
There will be a raffle featuring Hornby collectables, and one random lucky participant will get the chance to win two Eurostar tickets via the ‘Win in 10’ game.
The entry price is £65 per eight-person team, but there is a £10 discount when using the booking code KMNEWS19.
