Time is running out to register a table for the KM Big Charity Quiz.
The Canterbury heat of the wine-and-wisdom-style fundraiser takes place on Friday, April 26.
It will raise much-needed funds for good causes including child-cancer charity Eva’s Angels and the Kent and Canterbury Hospital’s League of Friends.
The quiz is being hosted by Kent Sport at the University of Kent, where staff are busy making last-minute preparations for the event.
Kent Sport senior duty officer Jarek Dzikowicz said: “We are thrilled to host the 2019 KM Big Quiz again this year.
“We transform the sports hall into a fantastic venue for the quiz, and love to see how it fills our sports hall every time.
“We hope this year to see even more tables and raise lots of money for good causes.”
Event coordinator Dominic Comins said: “It’s great to be working with Kent Sport and the University of Kent again.
“They always do such a good job of hosting the quiz, and the sports hall is such a great venue.
“There’s still time to book a table for what is always a really fun night, but you need to act fast to guarantee your participation.”
The quiz is open to teams of up to eight people. Each team will get a free bottle of wine, and contestants will be treated to a free ploughman’s dinner courtesy of the League of Friends.
Brewery Shepherd Neame is once again donating the drinks for the quiz’s charity bar, with all the money raised from drinks sales being matched by Barclays Bank. The quiz is also supported by Specsavers, Office Angels, Eurotunnel, Eurostar and Hornby.
The entry price is £65 per eight-person team, but there is a £10 discount when booking with the discount code KMNEWS19.
Also taking a share of the charity pot will be KM Charity Team services supporting child literacy and road safety, plus one charity chosen via prize draw.
