It could be a case of swine before pearls for one lucky participant at the Canterbury heat of the KM Big Charity Quiz.
In the quiz’s Win in 10 game, one quiz-goer chosen by lottery will be given 10 seconds to answer a question, and if they do so correctly they will win a pair of Eurostar tickets.
And in honour of 2019 being the Chinese Year of the Pig, the question will have a decidedly porcine theme.
The quiz takes place at the University of Kent’s Canterbury campus on Friday April 26, with Kentish Gazette charity of the Year Eva’s Angels and the Kent and Canterbury Hospital’s League of Friends being among the good causes set to benefit.
Event coordinator Dominic Comins said: “Thanks to the generosity of Eurostar, one Big Quiz participant could be heading to Lille, Paris or Brussels with their partner or bestie just for answering a single question correctly.
“But you’ve got to be in it to win it, so make sure you register a team before the event sells out.
“And make sure also that you get on to Pigipedia, to brush up on your pig facts.”
The quiz is open to teams of up to eight people, with doors opening at 6.20pm for a 7pm start. The fun is estimated to finish at 10.30pm.
It is supported by Specsavers, Office Angels, Shepherd Neame, Barclays and Hornby.
The entry price is £65 per eight-person team, but there is a £10 discount when you book using the discount code KMNEWS19.
Also taking a share of the charity pot will be KM Charity Team services supporting child literacy and road safety, plus one charity chosen via prize draw.
