Does your child know their curry from their carbonara?
Then they should enter the official school cookery contest KM Kent Cooks for the chance to win a bumper cash prize.
Youngsters aged from six to 19 years can submit their recipes in a bid for the title top Kent Cook 2015 and a share of £500.
Entrants simply cook their recipe and upload a photograph of the completed dish to the kentcooks.co.uk website along with a description of cooking method.
Competition categories include Primary School, Secondary School, and Families for adult-and-child entrants.
Simon Dolby from Kent Cooks said: “Why not get the kids cooking this summer and submit an entry for Kent Cooks?
“It’s a fun way for young people to learn about food preparation and healthy eating. Plus they might get to compete at our exciting Masterchef-style final!”
Businesses supporting the competition include Mini Babybel, Three R’s Teacher Recruitment, Countrystyle Recycling, Kent Cookery School, Brakes, East Kent College, Orbit South, S.E. Medical, VooServers, Golding Vision (part of Golding Homes), DFDS Seaways, Best Western Abbots Barton Hotel, PaulBabra.co.uk, and Licensing Consultancy Services.

The winning primary school pupil will receive £50, £100 will be awarded to the family winner, the secondary student winner will receive £150 and the Kent Cooks overall champion will receive £200.
