Register a table for next month’s heat of the KM Big Charity Quiz and you could find yourself doing battle with the smartest quizzers in the county.
At least four teams from next month’s heat will go through to the KM Big Charity Quiz grand final in January.
The Maidstone heat takes place on Friday, November 9, at Maidstone Leisure Centre in Mote Park.
It will raise money for the Heart of Kent Hospice – the Kent Messenger newspaper’s charity of the year – as well as literacy and road safety services for schools.
Event organiser Dominic Comins said: “If you’re a fan of wine and wisdom-style events, then you can’t afford to miss out on the Big Quiz.
“The top four teams of the Maidstone heat will go through to January’s final, but everyone is guaranteed to have a fun night and will go home knowing they’re raised funds for the Heart of Kent Hospice – one of the charity’s most valued good causes.
“There are also some great prizes courtesy of the likes of DFDS Seaways and Hornby, and Shepherd Neame will be running their Spitfire charity bar.”
Besides DFDS Seaways, Hornby and Shepherd Neame, the quiz is supported by Barclays, Office Angels and accountancy practice Wilkins Kennedy.
It is for teams of up to eight people, with doors opening at 6.20pm for a 7pm start. The fun is estimated to finish at 10.00pm.
The entry price is £65 per team, but there is a £10 discount when you book using the discount code KMNEWS18.
The Big Quiz county final takes place at the Ashford International Hotel on January 11.
