Women across the county are invited to attend a free conference at Westwood Cross to help them turn their passion into a money making business.
Women Mean Business LIVE – Make It Happen is being hosted by Grosvenor Casino, Westwood Cross on Thursday, November 19.
The Kent Women Mean Business Network has organised the event to celebrate Global Entrepreneurship Week. All woman considering starting or developing their own business or social enterprise are being urged to take advantage of this opportunity.
The conference is tapping into the rise of the female entrepreneur with women accounting for 80% of the new self-employed between 2008 and 2011, and 70% of the new self-employed in 2014.
Women Mean Business LIVE aims to encourage more women to turn their hobby into a money spinner or to take their business to the next level.
Inspiring talks and workshops will include starting a business, business law, accounts and finance, marketing and social media. Delegates will have the chance to network, meet potential suppliers or customers, gain one-to-one advice, and promote their own businesses.
Among the expert speakers will be Simon Dolby of the KM Charity Team who is hosting a talk on the benefits of corporate social responsibility for earning valuable PR.
