Good causes in Kent can use a new charity challenge event to raise funds.
The Cornwallis It's a Knockout Challenge is open to any good cause or charity and is also a great team building event for businesses.
The event is being staged on 4 June, 2017 at Aylesford Rugby Club with teams of between eight to 10 people taking on a dozen challenges.
Team members will negotiate foam filled obstacles, don padded outfits and get thoroughly soaked as they compete for top honours.
The event is being staged by the Cornwallis East Kent Freemasons' Charity following a successful pilot event in 2016. This will be the first year the event has been opened up to support the fundraising for the wider charitable sector.
KM Charity Team will be supporting the event by handling team bookings and sponsorship collection on the day, while the challenge event itself is managed by the Cornwallis charity.
Teams are expected to raise sponsorship when taking part. Seventy percent of the sponsorship raised will go to the cause of the team's choice and 30 per cent will go on children's literacy initiatives organised by the KM Charity Team.
Simon Dolby from the KM Charity Team said: "This is an exciting challenge and I'm delighted the Cornwallis people have opened their event up to allow teams to raise for the cause of their choice. Our charity stages a dozen collaborative charity challenge events each year and so we offered to help handle booking from the charitable sector. We are hoping this will provide to be a big event to support the sector."
