The Crab and Winkle Line Trust is among three projects in the district to receive grants this month from the Big Lottery Fund.
£4,700 has been pledged to print and distribute 30,000 new leaflets, promoting the former railway line as a sustainable pedestrian link between Whitstable and Canterbury.
Trust chairman Marcial Boo is delighted to have received the funding: "We won this grant with part of KCC’s Kentish Stour Countryside Project and it’ll allow us to produce nice colourful leaflets complete with maps so everyone knows where it is and a bit more about its history too."
He added: "There’ll be a map of the original route of the railway line and then one with all the places of interest along the way.
"Highlights include the ancient woodland, sculptures and public art along the road and some of the schools, so that people can really start to use this asset as something the whole community can benefit from."
