Hollywood is coming to Ashford on Sunday.
A last minute signing means British film star Tamer Hassan will play in the celebrity team which takes on Ashford Town past and present at the kmfm Charity Challenge Cup match at the Homelands stadium.
Hassan will play a lead role in new film City Rats - his previous hits include the Football Factory and The Business. He is also set to appear in Dead Man Running, a film being financed by Rio Ferdinand and Ashley Cole, that is due for release in November.
Other possible players in the celebrity team managed by kmfm’s Webbo and captained by former Liverpool and Spurs footballer Neil “Razor” Ruddock, could be hard man Danny Dyer and TV actor Ralf Little.
Ashford Town director “Gazza” Gary Kirton will manage the Ashford Past and Present team, while Neville Southall will captain the celebrities.
The charity game will raise money for CLIC Sargent and the Pilgrims Hospice.
There will be a penalty shoot-out competition for children.
The entertainment starts at midday and the game kicks off at 3pm.
Last year the charity football match raised £7,500 for the cardiac care unit at the William Harvey Hospital.
